Introductions

Hello Reader.

I suppose that I should first of all welcome you to my (admittedly, early) magnitude of writings. A collection of musings that will allow you, the every-man, to plunge deep into a world of solitude, detachment and darkness. Let's just say that if there are sensitive eyes skimming across these impeccably chosen words, then maybe they had best avert themselves before stumbling across something which may scar/maim/irritate. The content displayed on the pages of this website may lead to conjunctivitis... of the mind.

My name is Kurt Silverwood and I am a Private Detective. (That really didn't mean to sound quite like the opening testament of an alcoholic in an AA meeting, but alas, it's been written down now). I am a puzzle-solving extraordinaire; getting to the bottom of such self-titled cases as "The Peep Hole Pest", "Lady Marmalade Fingers" and "Terry Thompson's Ten Toed Terror!"
The art of detection is something that cannot be learnt from a book (believe me, I've read every book under the sun on Private Investigation, all of which just fed back information I already know and use. It also instructed me to buy ludicrously expensive equipment that would almost certainly prove useless to a professional like moi). No, detection requires an innate cunningness and an ability to connect the dots before stepping back to admire the finished picture (metaphor). Whether it's searching for a missing pet, proving the unfaithfulness of a cheating husband or finding the culprit of a chilling murder; sequential thinking, judgemental deduction and an open mind are the key ingredients for a "Case Closed" soup, liberally seasoned with intuition and gut-feeling. Bon Appetite.

So please enjoy the entries I shall offer over the impending future. And if you ever require the assistance of a brilliant mind, then maybe, just maybe ... you'll be able to find me. Or perhaps ... I shall find you?

Kurt Silverwood P.I.

[N.B. It should be stated that I operate within a very select area and the chances of me actually helping you are incredibly slim due to ease of access, travel expenses and willingness to actually leave my office]
